Don’t Sweat It

Bonnie and I moved from New Jersey to Connecticut just a few months ago to begin the empty nest stage of our lives with some new things to do, people to meet, and opportunities to grab. I wanted new, open scenery where I could walk and jog and try to get back in shape without having to cross the same old busy streets. I wanted to go through just one week without reading about another political indictment.

After all, New Jersey has more crooked politicians than there are towns in which to be crooked. There’s so much suburban sprawl that families of deer have their own chaise lounges in many backyards. Property taxes and fees are excessive. We even had a pay an ‘exit tax’ of few thousand dollars just to leave the state.
